Located in Deer Valley, Montage Deer Valley is adjacent to Deer Valley Resort with other popular attractions like Park City Mountain Resort within a within a few miles (5 km). To be fair this was probably because of Covid restrictions rather than the Montage downgrading their s'more service. This time you were given a prepacked bag of items which were of good quality but lacked the variety we saw in the past. The last time we stayed they had an array of choices for chocolate and marshmallows. One of our favorite things at the Montage was the s'mores. Felt like the cheaper, lower thread count sheets that you see at 1 and 2 star hotels. Why do I need to call to have the bed ready at a 5 star resort when they know there are 4 people checking in ? The bed linens were immaculately clean and fresh smelling and, while not exactly uncomfortable, were a little coarse. I called the front desk and they told me they wait for the call before sending housekeeping up which they did and the bed was promptly made but why do you have to call for this? The sofa bed is always made up at 3 and 4 star hotels. When opening the sofa bed later that day it was completely bare. when we checked into our room with a king bed and sofa bed it was clear we had 2 adults and 2 kids. A few disappointments I didn't expect at a well known 5 star resort however. Good selection and number of restaurants on site. Big fitness center with impressive array of cardio equipment, decent variety of strength training machines and adequate free weights. Beautiful location and property with gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains.
